Brimming with 60 years of cultural passion, following traditional hand-made recipes… and working with basic equipment from his Goodwood Road shopfront, Libero’s Australian-influenced incarnation of succulent Ambra Limoncello liqueur first whet the taste buds of Adelaideans.

Naturally grown citrus fruit we source from selected well established, family owned orchards in the South Australian Riverland. Importantly, an area of virtually no pollution.
At the precise point of ripeness in colour, when the zest contains the optimum level of oil, our fruit is hand-picked and used within 24-48 hours. The lemon zest is hand-peeled, ensuring there’s no white pith, and infused in premium South Australian Barossa grape spirit, to allow the intense citric flavour and colour to be absorbed. It’s both an art and a science – a very delicate blend.
We proudly maintain the tradition of handcrafting our Limoncello Liqueur, from lemon peeling and infusion to our bottling, and every step is strictly monitored to ensure the highest standards and flavours are consistent. Free from any preservatives or artificial additives, the popularity of Ambra Limoncello lemon liqueur, is due to its refreshing and mildly alcoholic lemon taste.
Since the unstoppable Libero De Luca finally did retire at the tender age of 80, the Ambra passion has been passed over to two new owners, Peppe Fusco and Nando Focareta, who have been friends since they were young boys. When introduced to Libero by mutual friends, they realised they had much in common, their Italian heritage, their passion for food and culture and their fiercely strong connection to the Riverland Orchards. They knew they had discovered what they had been looking for!
Nando and Peppe have grasped Libero’s innovation, passion and vision, opening a whole new world of opportunities for Ambra Liqueurs. With fingers firmly on the pulse of market demands, Libero would be happy and raising a glass, as Nando and Peppe develop and trial new twists on recipes that will introduce Ambra to a wider world of friends.
A big part of that passion is taking Ambra Limoncello from a traditional “aperitif” to a chic, refreshing and zesty spritz and sensational mixer drinks that will delight, at any time.
