I work in the Transport / Courier industry, and have done for almost 30 years in Adelaide, in varying roles.
The boom in online shopping and ordering has been a massive game changer for the whole transport industry.
One of the biggest issues they face, is delivering to private addresses, when no one is home, it is costing the industry millions of dollars every year, in re deliveries, follow ups, double handling, wasted time etc.
The biggest issue for online retailers is they want verified delivery to the right address, ideally the first time, so they don't have to pay for re deliveries, and to reduce the chance of loss or breakage etc.
Online shopping for the consumer is quick, easy and convenient, getting their parcel delivered to their address, can be very inconvenient, having to stay home waiting, or missing the courier, so arranging re deliveries is frustrating, even worse is then expecting them to go and line up to collect it.
In my day to day role for one of the major carriers, I have to deal with all three issues, hence I have designed and created a unique new product that will benefit all three parties involved, it's affordable, long lasting, easy to use, and very effective.
The best part is it's all done right here Adelaide, with the view to going national early next year.
