Bungaree Station, situated in South Australia's picturesque Clare Valley, was established by George Hawker in 1841 and soon became one of Australia's most famous sheep studs. Today, over 175 years later, this farming property remains the home of Hawker family and also offers a range of heritage accommodation and unique function venues. Tours of the historic station complex are also available for day visitors, enabling them to catch an authentic glimpse of South Australia's pioneering past. Bungaree Station has received both State and National Tourism awards, as well as various other awards including the RM Williams Outback Heritage award and a UNESCO Award for Heritage and Culture.
