Proudly South Australian since 1961. Located at Suffolk Road, Hawthorndene this successful family owned business operates 7 days a week. Owners, Ben and Trudy Nankervis, took over the existing business in 2006, cold storing, packing and marketing Adelaide Hills Pears and Lemons.
The business has grown considerably since then, and today it is a premier wholesale fruit and vegetable supply company. We supply schools, aged care, cafes, restaurants, and hotels in the metropolitan and country areas. GD now employs 16 staff and is growing. The retail arm of the business is more like a one-stop-shop that not only supplies an exhaustive range of fresh produce, but also has a wonderful variety of grocery products, including gourmet lines for its customers.
Ben and Trudy have always aligned the business with local growers to supply South Australian locally grown produce and gourmet products. They take great care to select quality, fresh fruit and vegetables which brings back customers time and time again, along with the impressive service and products that keep growing within the store.
