Hey Day Butter is an exciting and luxe new brand of hand churned, SA owned cultured butter. This is the butter you have been waiting for with a delicious range of luxe flavours, perfect for becoming a chef at home.
My name is Heather and I was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Starting in hospitality at age 14 I've always loved the food industry and knew it would be a big part of my career. I grew a great network across Adelaide, and through the Hills region and went successfully into sales. In 2012 I moved to Sydney for 3 years for a job promotion and found myself applying for MasterChef 2016 to get back into the food industry. I won an apron at auditions and continued through to the top ten for season 8. Post my time on MasterChef I had a strong desire to move home and start my own business as a small producer of an artisan flavoured butter range.
Hey Day Butter was initially tested in Sydney, but using the best cream and yoghurt sourced from SA owned Fleurieu Milk Company. I moved back in July 2016 to launch Hey Day at the Adelaide Central Markets. I'm really proud of my decision and I love my state. I have felt the community rally around me and support my small business and I know I've made the right move, I've chosen SA.
Hey Day butter combines the health benefits of using the cream from grass fed cows, culturing the cream with a live yoghurt to being a purely flavour driven brand and product.
Currently on the shelves at Goodies and Grains and having a regular stall at The Market Shed, Hey Day Butter has some big flavours joining the range and an exciting next 6 months ahead.
