Since 1970 Virginia Olive Producers has grown, processed and packaged Kalamata Olives from our modern and up-to-date facility in Virginia. We have the capacity to process and pack all table olive varieties in various packaging to suit all markets.
We have had enormous success in establishing the first commercially producing Kalamata olive grove in Australia, north of Adelaide in Virginia. South Australia’s suitable climate is reminiscent of the Peloponnese region of Kalamata and is perfect for growing this variety.
In 2000 we exported whole Kalamata olives to Greece, a reflection of our years of dedication and our constant endeavour to produce the best Kalamata Olives outside of Greece and to promote the quality of South Australian products.
Now, we continue this initial vision by distributing South Australian Kalamata olives in a variety of different forms; whole, sliced, pitted and halved Australia wide.
