signor arrosticini

Linda bomba

Massimo moved to Adelaide 2 years ago from Italy. Once he was here he realised that something was missing…. Arrosticini’s.

We thought long and hard to how we could bring this wonderful product to Adelaide. We finally made the decision to start a food trailer - “Signor Arrosticini"

Arrosticini and their meaty goodness remain off many people’s radars, likely because they come from Abruzzo, one of the biggest regions of Italy that the fewest people know about.

Especially popular during the festive summer months, when people stay outside chit-chatting and noshing till the early morning, arrosticini are skinny kebabs made from Lamb, and grilled on a fornacella, an elongated, charcoal-fired brazier purpose-built to fit the skewers. This allows the skewer to rest on top of the metal and the meat hangs directly over the coals. Yummy.

We also have Arancini Balls which are home made coated in golden bread crumbs, with each ball holding a treasure of gooey mozzarella. Perfect for a vegetarian or anyone that loves a ball with a crunch and cheese stringing out.

Olives ascolane is another dish not known to many people. True lovers of the dish know that when making these olives for guests, one should always calculate at least ten olives per person:) It's one of those "una tira l'altra" foods -- an Italian idiomatic expression that translates literally as "one pulls another," meaning: "You can't eat just one."
The green olive is coated in bread crumbs surrounding an olive stuffed with chicken mince aromatized with herbs and then fried.

Freshly fried shoestring fries is just about the best thing around, and even better with our herb salt. The beautiful coloring and outstanding taste of this simple herb salt makes the perfect fries.

The mission for Signor Arrosticini is to provide a unique food service providing Adelaide and surrounding community with authentic Italian food. Massimo wants to introduce this traditional Italian street food to Adelaide so that they can enjoy this cuisine and continue to be a customer. Signor Arrosticini is aimed at offering high quality, using only local ingredients, affordable street food.
