The Wheaty is an old-school, pokie-free, owner operated Pub keeping Beer real, Wine independent, Whisk(e)y odd, Music live and Art public since 2003. From Brewers, Distillers, Food Trucks, Wine, Cider and Cheese Makers to Musicians, Writers, Artists and Roller Derby Leagues - we’ve long supported Local.
We figured it was time to start making our own beer so in 2014 we installed a Brewery on site; the ‘Wheaty Brewing Corps’, consisting of a 600L Brewhouse with three single batch fermentors. Our small batch, high turnover Brewery is just the right size to play; enabling us to brew whatever, however and whenever we want. And it doesn’t get more local than drinking beer in the shadow of the Brewery in which it was made.
